HTC's anticipated andriod (Google OS) handset, Hero, has hit the Croma stores.
The most striking feature of this device is the 'chin' at the bottom, which houses the trackball and the navigation buttons.
The build is excellent, a great improvement over Magic, with Teflon protecting the casing from dirt. The angluar placement of the trackball proves to be quite a delight to use in regular day activity. The 5 megapixel camera and the 3.5mm jack are welcome additions to the feature list.
The insides are fairly standard HTC fare, it runs on a Qualcomm 528MHz, with 288MB RAM and 512MB ROM. On the radio front, it has a quadband chip along with Wifi, GPS and bluetooth thrown in.
The screen runs on capacitive technology and has a standard 320x480 resolution. HTCs version of Andriod which is the OS to this phone, can easily be labelled the best version of Andriod available. The browser is great, with flash running from within the browser and websites rendering in no time over a wifi connection.
With a huge 3.2 screen, a 5 Megapixel camera, and a brand new Android interface, this is the gadget to go for!
