HTCs Google OS based phone, named Magic is now available at select Croma stores.The handset features are at par with the high end PDAs manufactured by HTC.
It features a 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen (the same as the iPhone's screen), a 528 Mhz Qualcomm processor and 288 MB RAM.
It supports Microsoft Exchange besides regular Google and other free mail sync.
Additional features include a G-sensor for screen rotation and some interesting games, it has an in-built digital compass as well.
A microSD card slot is built in for expanding the memory. The unit ships with a 1GB microSD card, which is essential to a few basic functions like the camera clicking photographs!
The operating system is impressive, HTCs rendition of Andriod will look familiar to HTC Windows Mobile users, with a lot of common applications enhancing the base OS.
The trackball proves useful for navigation when reading mails or scrolling through message/contact lists.
This device is a great buy for anyone hooked on to Google's services, as the phone has easy syncing with Gmail, Gtalk, Gcal etc..
